We met Emily and Brad at a wedding we photographed last year. Emily was a super fun bridesmaid. Emily and I were both gymnasts at the University of Kentucky, and although she didn’t come on the team until I was gone, I still felt like I knew her, and we had so much fun photographing her and her crew at last year’s wedding, so I was super excited when she asked us to be her photographers!
Emily has a great laugh and super gorgeous blue eyes. She is super fun to be around, which magnifies when she’s with her man. And Brad is a laid back and witty fella, who you can tell just absolutely adores this girl.
What we witnessed during their session is that when they’re together, there’s magic. They look at each other with such love and respect, and then they giggle like there’s always an inside joke no one else is privy to. It’s so much fun to watch, and even better to photograph. We had so much fun during this session we didn’t want it to end. It was the most glorious day – the first day of fall – and the sun was shining and the weather was perfect with a slight cool breeze.
Emily and Brad, thank you guys so much for spending the afternoon with us. We can’t wait for your wedding in Lexington next year. I say we hang out sometime before then!
During their engagement session, we started in downtown Loudon for a small-town cozy feel. Then we moved to Lenoir City just down the road, to a farm of another former teammate, who was also a bridesmaid in the wedding last year. Funny how that all comes back around, yeah?
