We met Kali & Grant at Kali’s parents’ home in Hendersonville for their engagement session. This couple lives and works out of state, so most of our communication had been done via skype and email, and although we hadn’t met them in person until the day of the session, we already knew we loved them. Grant and Kali are planning their wedding at Rock Castle in September, and after spending such a fun day with them shooting engagement photos, we can’t wait to hang out with them more on the wedding day.
Grant proposed to Kali on New Year’s Eve. After a scavenger hunt, he placed a treasure box at the final destination – her parent’s house, overlooking the lake. I’m sure as they sat there near the fire looking at the most gorgeous ring, now sitting proudly on her finger, they couldn’t stop thinking of their journey and the excitement of the future. These two were so fun to be around that we didn’t want to stop shooting! They were up for anything and we didn’t stop laughing the whole time. Her parents invited us to stay for dinner, and as we ate and learned more about this awesome family, Brandon and I were reminded once again how blessed we are to get to be a part of these couple’s lives during this portion of their journey.
Enough chatting from me – you’re ready to see some photos, right? That is what you come here for I imagine. Okay, okay… Here are a few of our favorite shots from our day with Grant and Kali 🙂
Sitting where he proposed…This sweet pup was so incredibly cute, and smart too. At dinner, we’d hide a treat in the house and he’d sniff it out within seconds. During the session, he wanted to watch and be a part of what we were doing. Such a sweetie pie! Best jump shot ever. Props to Brandon for this one…
