Kylie & Adam – Hermitage Tennessee Wedding

If you’ve ever met Kylie, chances are you feel like her best friend. She’s so relatable and fun and can instantly join anyone in on the fun. I first met her when we were shooting her twin sister’s wedding and within minutes I just fell in love with her. Now, let’s talk about Adam for a second. Though we had met briefly before, we got the chance to know him through our skype meeting, and we knew pretty quickly that there couldn’t be a more perfect match for Kylie. Like ever. He is witty, smart, and head over heels for this girl. At their engagement session, he constantly kept us laughing and on our toes. Such a cool guy. He made their stormy session SO MUCH FUN. They’re going to make the best little married couple you’ve ever seen. I can already see them as old people – ahh so cute!

Anyway, let’s talk about their wedding at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church. It was a warm August day, with RAIN all over the forecast. Yes we were having an indoor ceremony, but sweet Kylie had chosen the most adorable spot at Clover Bottom Mansion for her outdoor bridal party and family portraits, so we were just hoping we could work around raindrops. We had rain during their engagement photos so we really didn’t want them to have to dodge the drops again! The week before the wedding I mentioned that we’d bring some umbrellas, and she mentioned purchasing some additional ones for her large bridal party. While in the umbrella section, Kylie and her mom struck up a conversation with another shopper, an elderly lady who years ago also had an August wedding. They discussed the forecast, the wedding and how they were hoping for clear skies for at least 2 hours so we could do portraits outside. Then this sweet lady prayed for the wedding and the weather, and Kylie with tears in her eyes put those umbrellas back on the shelf, with hope and faith that the day would go smoothly without them.

Now, I’ll tell you, on the day of the wedding, the rain was not backing down. It would drizzle then pour then drizzle some more and pour some more. But you guys. I have to tell you. The only time it wasn’t raining? During our portraits. Say wha?? Yep, really. We did not get wet, we did not have to use umbrellas. At all. And it was perfect. And beautiful. Just like this couple – nothing can bring them down! Now that you know the back story, here are some highlights from their unforgettable day!

She literally couldn’t wait one more second to see her groom!
When the worship song “Good Good Father” came on and they sang to each other, Kylie’s tears ran down and sweet Adam was there to wipe them away. Then mine let loose! lol
