2018, like many years before it, was beautiful. It was filled with a handful of busy seasons and a couple of seasons of rest. But it also was a little more relaxed as we got to document the love of several family members too. And honestly, many weddings we had this year felt like family even if they weren’t. We are constantly amazed at the couples who find us and trust us to capture one of their life’s pinnacle events. Who you marry is one of THE most important decisions of your life and the wedding is the celebration of that decision, the start of the covenant between you and your spouse. Couples have a lot of memories to capture and it’s a big decision choosing who to trust with that challenging but beautiful honor.
We’ve talked before of why we love weddings, and last year we got to see everything from very intimate elopements all the way to all-out partAYs. Each of our couples is unique and their story innately special. But one thing remains, we are always stealing moments to go back to. As wedding photographers we can capture photos all day, but to grasp the intricacies of the emotions, the moments within a moment, that is key.

You’ll see the beautiful portraits that make my heart leap and you’ll see some precious moments peppered with emotion. Sometimes we breeze past those and forget to take a moment to breathe in and remember, to appreciate, all the gravity that that split-second in time held.
