{Baby Lyla ~ 5 months}

Little Lyla is the absoulte cutest! She has sweet red hair and gorgeous sparkly eyes! I loved my session with her, and even though she wasn’t feeling her best she still gave us a few smiles thanks to her magic daddy who bounced her and swung her to her little heart’s desire. Rachel and Jeremy are proud parents who love their daughter more than anything. It’s evident, and it’s beautiful. So, here’s a peek at some of Lyla’s 5-month photos. To say that Kristen and Brian’s engagement session was fun would be an understatement! Brandon and I traveled to Knoxville for their photos and we had so much fun hanging with these two! My mouth and stomach were sore afterward from laughing and smiling so much. Both Kristen and Brian are gymnasts, and told me beforehand that they wanted some “fun” photos. So, we played leapfrog, splashed in the water, and did some handstands. It was a fantastic day. {Baby John ~ Newborn}

Oh how excited I was to hear about baby John’s arrival! I met his mother at my very first wedding and have had the pleasure of photographing her beautiful daughter. Baby John was a teeny-weeny little guy, and he did so well for his first photo session. Mom and dad, here is your preview. I loved meeting this little dude and can’t wait to watch him grow!

{Alicia & Steven ~ Engaged}

Alicia and Steven got engaged last year, and we were so excited when Alicia contacted us for her photos. She has a vintage-inspired wedding planned with tons of hand-crafted touches. Here are a few favorites from the engagement session, which was held at the farm where the wedding will take place. It was a gorgeous place, a gorgeous day, and a gorgeous couple!

Megan and Clayton simply couldn’t be cuter. Really. They both were so great to work with, not to mention obviously in love. Brandon and I met with this couple at their family-owned sawmill in Gordonsville. It was a gorgeous Sunday and we were thrilled to have such a unique location to shoot. Cindy received a gift certificate from her lovely daughter as a birthday gift, and now that spring has bloomed, it was a perfect time for some photos. Cindy chose to bring her love, Roger, along with her for some fun couples photos. We had an amazing time with this set and it was obvious that this couple was head over heels in love with each other. What a joy it was to see the happiness they share! Enjoy!

{B.J. ~ Senior}

BJ is a senior at Cookeville High. He’s quite an athlete as well. He excelled in both football and lacrosse during his time at CHS and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this young man. Since spring has sprung and we finally have pleasant enough weather to be outside, we scheduled BJ’s senior session and had a blast last weekend capturing these shots. Hi everyone! I know it’s been a while since I’ve blogged, but Brandon and I have been working hard on the business and are very excited about the new website coming soon. I had some great sessions lately, so those will be up soon, but in the meantime, I thought I’d share one of my favorite spring-time shots so far. {Best of 2010 ~ Portraits}

2010 was by far my busiest year yet. I was excited to meet so many new families and become a part of their lives by taking memorable photos of them with loved ones. In this post, you’ll see some of my very favorite photos from this year, including babies, children, families, and seniors. Many you’ve seen, some you haven’t…but all in all, still good to go back and see what the year brought. I can’t wait to see what 2011 has in store!
