{Dora & Don ~ Elopement}

Dora and Don got engaged last October and were planning a beautiful outside ceremony for next year.  However, this fun-loving couple decided they simply couldn’t wait any longer…so they eloped! They wanted a very small, very quiet affair with no guests, so that they could just celebrate their new life together with a deeply meaningful ceremony. I loved the words that were spoken and the look they both had in their eyes for each other. Absolutely wonderful! So here are a few images from Dora and Don’s beautifully emotional ceremony.  And yes…I cried too…

{A Note of Thanks}

2010 has been an incredible year for me and my photography. It was an extremely busy year,  one with few “off days”, but I am thankful for your business and support as I strive to follow my desire of creating beautiful photographs. As this blog has progressed, I have shared my most favorite of images with you, I have shared my stories, and I have shared my passion. I hope my thankfulness now comes through as I write this: To you who have followed my postings and viewed my work…To you who have entrusted me with capturing your moments, large and small…To

{Katie ~ Bridals}

Although I did these bridal portraits way back in the beginning of September, things got so busy this fall that I never really blogged them. Katie was one of the most carefree and brave brides I have ever worked with. She trusted my every move, and I’m so thankful for it. As we were out tromping through the field, she said to me (very nonchalantly, I might add)  “By the way, I’m terrified of snakes.” Snakes aren’t something I normally think much of, but since we were wading through some thick brush, I had her follow in my footsteps…and made

{Josiah ~ Senior}

Josiah is one of the coolest, funniest, most unique young men you’ll ever meet. Since he was willing to try anything for his senior shots,  Brandon and I broke out the lighting gear on this sunny October day (yes, I’m behind on blogging) and went for some very different senior photos.  Brandon really rocked out during this session and produced some amazing images that frankly, I’m jealous of! This first shot is my favorite (Brandon took it), but the multiple chair shot is a close second (also Brandon). Anyway, we had so much fun during this session and are thankful

{Allison and Jared ~ Engaged}

Before late fall brought the freezing weather, Allison and Jared and I headed out to Cane Creek for some engagement photos. Along with them, they brought Jared’s adorable daughter Hillary. She was a ham and I loved her to pieces. Allison and Jared were a fun-loving and happy couple – so much in fact that I think they laughed for a good 99% of the session. Their laughter was contagious – all four of us kept cracking up for no reason, and I’m sure those lovely people walking their dogs in the park thought we were insane. I loved my

{Kipton – 6 months}

You might remember this little fella from his newborn photos back in May. He was so cooperative and easy going then, and it was the same with his 6 month photos. I met Kipton and his parents at their family’s farm house in Crossville. It wasn’t long before I saw the barn (and my eyes lit up – plus it was a gorgeous day with great afternoon light!), and we talked about all the fun places and ideas we had for the session. I loved every minute of it, and I hope you enjoy these little previews of Kipton’s 6

{ J & Parisa ~ Wedding Day }

J and Parisa were married in Nashville on November 6. It was a gorgeous crisp fall day with lots of love in the air. This bride could not have been more beautiful and this groom could not have been more fun and relaxed! I loved every minute of it. They wrote their own vows and I have to say they were the most sincere and honest I’ve heard in a long time. To top things off, their reception was so fun, complete with 80’s band and dancing! Parisa’s family is Persian, so they wanted to bring a little of their

{Stephanie and Adam ~ Newlyweds}

Stephanie and Adam were married in October. They took a family and close friends vacation to the beach to say their vows. Since we had already been talking about doing some fun couples photos for them, when they got back from the honeymoon, we took the opportunity of their new union to get all dressed up and get some photos at Adam’s family farm. These two look so in love and I was loving the warm golden sun as it glowed on the fields! I hope you enjoy this set as much as I enjoyed creating it! Congrats you guys!

{Little Cadence}

Cadence and her parents travelled all the way from Carthage for their annual family photos. This couple has a special place in my heart, as theirs was the first wedding I photographed. When little Cadence came along, I was so excited to meet her and I’ve done several photoshoots for them since. I always look forward to seeing them! Oh, and they have an adorable little addition ~ their teeny-weeny puppy Tiana. Such a cute family! Sometimes with kids, they simply aren’t in the mood to let me take their photo . Cadence was this way for a while, but

{Josh & Katie ~ Newlyweds}

You may remember Josh and Katie from their recent wedding day post. They were married Sept. 11 and we had discussed doing some more relaxed and fun portraits of them at a later time rather than trying to fit it all in on their wedding day. They enthusiastically agreed, so here are the photos from their “newlywed” session. Aren’t they adorable?
