Brittany used to spend countless hours on the farm. The river was her happy place. When Jeff came along and stole her heart, he became her happy place. So we found it fitting to have engagement photos in this spot that’s so near and dear to this couple! The afternoon spent with these two was incredibly relaxed and fun. We are thrilled that Jeff and Brittany have chosen us to be a part of their story in such a fashion as to capture the moments that make up this special time in their lives. We loved the farm, but we

Megan and Sampson have spent lots of time up on Bon Air Mountain since they each grew up there. So it was a perfect setting for their engagement photos. After rescheduling once due to spring snow, we had a gorgeous sunny day for their session. This couple is incredibly sweet together and we can’t get over the way Sampson makes Megan light up! These two are naturals in front of the camera (even if they don’t believe us when we say that) and they trusted us with all of our suggestions. Bonus points – we made it to an overlook
When a couple books us before even setting a date, we can’t help but feel it’s going to be a perfect fit. Sara has been following us for years and since getting to know her and sweet CJ, we have totally fallen in love with them. For their engagement session, we picked the day before spring and as you Tennesseans know, that could be tricky. One day 70 and sunny, the next it’s snowing! Regardless of the risks, we met up with these two on Bon Air Mountain at the wildlife reserve where they’ll be having their wedding. Not only
As soon as we first spoke with Jade and her fiance Justin, we just fell in love with them. They were just.so.precious!!! Their love story is a sweet one, and since they met at church, faith plays an important role in their lives. For their engagement session, since it was winter, we had to be a tad bit more careful with location scouting and we kept a close eye on the weather.
Well folks, it’s a new year which calls for reflection and remembering another amazing year we were blessed with in this business. We met amazing couples, worked on new skills, and had some amazing experiences. By nature as an over-analyzer (Lindsay here), I spent lots of time throughout the year thinking about new angles on how to present to you, our followers, just how much fun we have and how deeply we develop relationships in this business.
When we first talked about engagement sessions with Sara and Chase, there was no question that Cades Cove was a place super special to their hearts. So, we planned and planned and finally met them in “God’s Country” – which did NOT disappoint. These guys had a good feel for their favorite spots and were hoping to see some wildlife as well as capture the fall beauty of this magical place. And so… we did. All of it. And it was perfect and lovely and I want to do it again. Bears, squirrels and deer all around, we hiked around some
Laura and Ben are some pretty cool people! We met them over coffee to discuss and plan an engagement session, and learned all about their love story, his proposal, and their future plans together. We enjoyed every minute of their engagement session and truly enjoyed their presence. They’re so laid back and fun with each other, and made our jobs so much easier. After the first (gorgeous) spot, we moved to a creek about 30 minutes away, and chased the sun for some more unique shots that incorporated fly-fishing since that’s part of their proposal story. They recently moved to Cookeville
Well, fall is a busy busy time. We are always packed to the brim with engagement sessions, weddings and family sessions. I love them all, but man do I love a good fall engagement when the colors cooperate. This engagement session is one that’s near and dear to our hearts. Sara, our assistant and former sunday school student, has been dating Trey for a couple of years, and he proposed to her by “kidnapping” her away to the beach this spring. So sweet! Anyway, we love this couple and are so glad Trey entered Sara’s life because he’s perfect for her
Claire and Chadwick were so easy-going for their engagement session. This makes for a fun session with great results. We love when our clients trust us and just enjoy the ride, so this couple was fantastic to work with. They were so comfortable with each other – laughing and nuzzling like we weren’t even there. Even climbing a hill when we had a cool idea for the last shot. Perfection, I tell ya! We absolutely can’t wait for their wedding next June – these two are going to be the most precious married couple ever!
I know I saw this a lot, but Kellie and Matt were SO MUCH FUN to be around. They are easy going, they love the Lord and they love each other. For their engagement session, we chose two spots in town that are important to them: where they met (Tennessee Tech University) and Matt’s family farm. As we finished up the first location, the sky began making low rumbling sounds and spitting rain. Even with Brandon’s A.D.D. weather-checking tendencies, this storm had evaded the meteorologists and snuck in on us. So, we called it a day and met the following
