Ashlee & John Michael – Quaint Courthouse Elopement

We’ve known Ashlee ever since doing senior portraits for her a few years back. When she got engaged, we were delighted to hear her story and hear about her wedding day plans. Upon hearing that they wanted a courthouse elopement (on a Thursday because their date was just that special), we simply couldn’t wait! We love intimate ceremonies because when you strip away all the fluff, it forces you to think about what REALLY matters at a wedding. Commitment. Love. Honor. And even family. Ashlee and John Michael had all of those, and more. Their vows were exchanged in front

A birthday message to Brandon

I know that public attention isn’t your thing. I know that you never believe anyone who tells you how awesome you are. And I know you always think you can do better. So I know that you’ll feel uncomfortable the whole time you read this blog post. But I also know just how insanely hard you work, every single day, to support my dreams even when it means your plans might sometimes get put on the back burner. I see how you constantly put others above yourself and go out of your way for someone in need, even if you

{Grace ~ the Dancer}

Grace is an absolutely beautiful young lady – inside and out! She is, as you can tell, a dancer. She and I have been discussing doing some outdoor portraits of her, and I was stoked to do them! Here are a few of my favorites…

{Happy Spring!!}

Hi everyone! I know it’s been a while since I’ve blogged, but Brandon and I have been working hard on the business and are very excited about the new website coming soon. I had some great sessions lately, so those will be up soon, but in the meantime, I thought I’d share one of my favorite spring-time shots so far. I get giddy when there are flowers out, and you may see me around town with a camera as the blooms continue to pop out! It was hard to choose just one image, but here’s a little something to get you

{Best of 2010 ~ Portraits}

2010 was by far my busiest year yet. I was excited to meet so many new families and become a part of their lives by taking memorable photos of them with loved ones. In this post, you’ll see some of my very favorite photos from this year, including babies, children, families, and seniors. Many you’ve seen, some you haven’t…but all in all, still good to go back and see what the year brought. I can’t wait to see what 2011 has in store!

{A Note of Thanks}

2010 has been an incredible year for me and my photography. It was an extremely busy year,  one with few “off days”, but I am thankful for your business and support as I strive to follow my desire of creating beautiful photographs. As this blog has progressed, I have shared my most favorite of images with you, I have shared my stories, and I have shared my passion. I hope my thankfulness now comes through as I write this: To you who have followed my postings and viewed my work…To you who have entrusted me with capturing your moments, large and small…To

{Caroline and Daisy}

Caroline spends her free time at Circle K Horse Pavilion. She has a beautiful pony named Daisy. Her mom and I have been attempting to plan a time to take some photos, and just as the leave started changing, we finally made it out! It’s a beautiful place and since I’ve photographed horses before, I was super excited to go out and get my “boots” dusty again. Here are a few of my favorites from our day at the ranch. Enjoy.

{Troy}

Troy works at a local radio station. He’s a super nice guy and a great DJ also! Recently he told me he wanted some updated headshots, so after the studio session, we took an afternoon stroll downtown and got some great results. Here are my favorites 🙂

{Spring Beauty}

Haven’t you just loved those beautiful spring blooms this month? Although my allergies may disagree, I simply adore this time of year! I just can’t get enough of the bradford pears, dogwoods, redbuds, and all other types of flowering buds popping their little colorful selves out into the fresh warm air. Not to mention the tulips! A friend of mine and I recently had a fun day of just going about and taking photos of these beautiful sights. I could spend all day taking pictures around here and not get tired of it! Here are a few of my favorites
