Courtney and Todd traveled all the way from Memphis for engagement photos with us. They decided that, having not met us for an initial meeting, it would be best to get some face-time before the big day. We couldn’t agree more! Not only did they become more comfortable in front of our lenses, they also got to know us more, and we learned how they tick and most importantly, what makes them shine! When we first started talking with Paige and her mom about shooting this adorable couple’s wedding, we fell in love instantly. Paige is the sister of one of our past grooms, and so we are already close with the family. We met up with Jeff and Paige this spring at the Parthenon in Nashville. They had traveled to the real deal in Greece before they were engaged and it was a perfect fit for them. As we traversed the large columns and massive steps, we got to know Jeff better, and we saw how well he makes Paige laugh and relax.

Alyssa and Jarod are without a doubt some super fun people. We are so blessed with couples that become friends, and these two are no exception. We met Alyssa when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding we shot in 2013, and this year she was a bridesmaid in another wedding we shot! So, if anyone knows our tricks, secrets, and ‘rules;, it’s her! Jarod is an amazing complement to her and not only is he a genuinely NICE guy, he’s so relaxed and easy to be around. We truly loved our day with them and didn’t want it to end! This

When our GPS told us to prepare to park the car and walk the rest of the way, we knew we were about to find a gem of a location. We met up with Amanda and Bryan in Hickman at a family friend’s farm. It was the perfect location, with great light and awesome scenery, and our company wasn’t bad either! 🙂 Since it was our first time meeting Bryan, who is in the Marines, the few hours we spent searching the land for great spots gave us a good chance to chat as we walked and learn more about them

We got to know Natalie and Josh incredibly well even before their engagement session because we took a weekend trip to Chattanooga with them to go SKYDIVING! It was incredible, but I’ll save those details for another blog post…the important thing was that we became instant friends with these two and now we have a super fun time anytime we are around them! This was a real treat for us because by the time they were in front of our cameras they were already comfortable enough to make fun of us, which of course made for LOTS of laughing photos.
