Hannah and Gary – Engaged

Hannah and Gary opted to do an engagement session in the winter. December in fact. Although you never know what the weather will give you, we surely lucked out this day with a gorgeous sunny day and not-too-bad temperatures. While so many couples want the fall leaves, spring buds or summer greenery, it was pretty refreshing to do something a little more out of the box. We started at a tree farm to give a holiday look, and then we ended up in downtown Cookeville where we were able to create some memorable snow shots for them. It was a

Tamara & Brent – Engaged

Tamara and Brent are super sweet together. They are both so kind and down-to-earth that it made this country engagement session to easy and fun. We love getting to know our couples’ interests as we plan our sessions, and as we chatted with Tamara and Brent, they decided to have us come to their home for some shots of them just doing what they do. We shot it just before the peak of the beautiful fall and had some hints of orange – the light was perfect, and we just had fun with the landscape. It was one of our

Asia and Drew – Engaged

Ok I know I say all the time how much we love our couples. But man, we really do! Drew and Asia are some of THE most contagiously happy people you will ever meet. They both have the best attitudes toward life and are genuinely perpetually happy. Their smiles are so infectious that Brandon and I were literally sore from laughing and smiling so much from their engagement session.   This couple loves to camp together. We took that and ran with it, as they gave us the reins to plan for their campfire engagement session. These two were so

Chris and Heather – Engaged

Earlier this year, Brandon and I had an opportunity that got us super excited. We follow photography blogs and chat with photographers from all over the country, and deep down (well, not too deep really), I’ve always thought it would be so amazing to do a session in New York City. Well, as luck would have it, we got a call from Chris and Heather – who just happen to live in NYC. They called to see about us doing photography at their wedding in Tennessee. If you missed it, check out their wedding here.   Anyway, as options for engagement

Kaysee & Josh

We came to know Kaysee several years ago when we were neighbors. She expressed an interest in photography and we began chatting about it every time we’d see each other. She was always so complimentary – she followed the blog and always left sweet comments on new photos.  When she got engaged, we were so happy for her – Josh seemed like a great guy and we would happily chat about their plans and such. Although we weren’t able to shoot their wedding, we did have something in common – our wedding date! They got married on our 5-year anniversary.

Heather and Chris ~ Wedding Day

Heather and Chris began their wedding planning journey after he proposed while the two were vacationing in Italy. These two amazing people live in Manhattan, New York, and happened upon our photography site while searching for a photographer for their destination (to Tennessee) wedding. With family all over the country, they settled on the absolutely gorgeous Whitestone County Inn in Kingston, Tennessee. They had a beautifully elegant outdoor wedding planned, with a gazebo that overlooked the horse pastures, barns, and a stunning lake. However, as luck would have it, the weather had other plans. The morning of the wedding, the

Emily & Brad ~ Engaged

We met Emily and Brad at a wedding we photographed last year. Emily was a super fun bridesmaid.  Emily and I were both gymnasts at the University of Kentucky, and although she didn’t come on the team until I was gone, I still felt like I knew her, and we had so much fun photographing her and her crew at last year’s wedding, so I was super excited when she asked us to be her photographers!   Emily has a great laugh and super gorgeous blue eyes. She is super fun to be around, which magnifies when she’s with her man.

Erin & Matt ~ Wedding

Erin and Matt’s wedding day was so so perfect. I know I say good things about every wedding, but this one was even more special for us since Erin is Brandon’s sister. The day started with Erin, her maid of honor and her mother getting hair and makeup done.  I love this portion of the day because there is so much anticipation and excitement in the room. Then we headed to the Tulip Grove Mansion at the Hermitage in Nashville to get ready for portraits before the ceremony. Beautiful location!  Erin and Matt opted for a first look and it

Katherine & Jeremy ~ Engaged

Katherine and Jeremy recently got engaged and gave us a shout about wedding photography. Jeremy is quite a photography hobbyist himself, so his questions and discussion about photography got us excited. They are planning a sweet and intimate wedding in a historic village in Monteagle, TN, and it sounds so beautiful. For their engagement session, we met up with them in Nashville, and we started at the spot where they met, a local coffee shop. It was super sweet to see them sitting at the very table where they had their first conversation, and I wondered what they discussed, everything so

Leah & Bo ~ Engaged

There’s so much I could say to introduce Leah and Bo to you. From the history in gymnastics Leah and I have, to her amazing mother whom I adore, to the moment I saw pictures of the beautiful mountaintop engagement posted to Facebook. But the real story here is Leah AND Bo. See, I’ve known Leah and her family for years, but when Bo came into the picture, the puzzle pieces began to line up for her. This adorable couple met at Tennessee Tech when they had a class together in the nursing building. They dated through college and he proposed
