Megan & Ryan ~ Wedding Day

Megan and Ryan got married at Lakeside last fall. The morning started with freezing temperatures and the forecast of rain, but as we arrived, the sun decided to shine on this sweet couple, so out it came, and with it came the warmth. It became an absolutely beautiful day – even if it was freezing cold. Their ceremony was precious, complete with tears as well as laughter. Megan and Ryan have a strong foundation of faith that binds them together, and we are so honored to have witnessed their union. The night ended with some awesome dancing, and I think

Becca & Will ~ Engaged

We met Becca at a bridal show earlier this year, and from the moment we talked to her and her mom and sister, we fell in love with their excitement and wedding planning mo-jo. Becca was our very first bride to book for 2013, and we simply can’t wait for their big day. Becca and Will got engaged in Italy last year… I know, swoon… and while they’re both devoted to school and work, they still make time for each other and the important things in life. When we were planning our engagement session, we became limited in our dates.

The Brewington Family

This spring session of the Brewington siblings was one of my favorite family sessions of the year so far. These kids were so well mannered, up for doing anything I suggested, and absolutely adorable. Not to mention the great locations Mom Sandy found. They also brought along some perfect little props that I loved incorporating. Check out those wooden signs and bench from a barn on their property. We met Megan and her mom a few months ago to chat about her upcoming wedding. We fell in love with her ideas, her wedding venue, and her love for photography. But our eyes must have lit up so bright when she mentioned her father’s vintage boat and how they’d love to incorporate it for their engagement shoot. Megan and Ryan worked at a boat dock together, so the lake is special to them, and her dad’s boat was perfect for the type of session we wanted. AJ & Johnny ~ Engaged

AJ and Johnny are some of the most laid back and fun people you’ll ever meet. I don’t know who’s more excited that we are shooting their wedding – me or AJ! We met Erin through a mutual photographer friend and even from our first ‘meeting’ (which was over skype) we just knew we loved her. She’s fun-loving and has an amazing personality. Beth & Justin ~ Engaged

Beth and Justin met us in the beautiful city of Chattanooga for their engagement session. The weather was splendid and we had so much fun with this couple. We rode the carousel for some different pics, and we walked all around Coolidge Park, finding fun and pretty spots as we went. {The Best of 2011 ~ Portraits}

So, I realize it’s halfway through February and that I’m a tad late on my “best of” posts. But better late than never, right? Well, here goes! I didn’t think it was possible to have even more fun than we did in 2010, but 2011 proved me wrong. Brandon and I met even more amazing families, babies and seniors in ’11 and we were seriously so blessed to create such fun and memorable photos for our new friends. Blythe’s mom called me to schedule her daughter’s senior photos, and told me this session would be a bit “different.” You see, Blythe shows cattle, and has won many prizes in doing so, so they wanted some shots of her with her cows.
