2012 was full of wonderful couples, amazing stories, and truly special weddings. We can’t wait to show you all of these stories in our normal story-telling style. Right now, though, we’ve been working on slideshows, so just as a “sneak peek” of our 2012 highlights, here’s a slideshow of a few favorite shots. With bridal shows and client meetings, our slow season isn’t so slow, but we hope to show you the full weddings in the next few weeks.
Erin and Matt’s wedding day was so so perfect. I know I say good things about every wedding, but this one was even more special for us since Erin is Brandon’s sister. The day started with Erin, her maid of honor and her mother getting hair and makeup done. I love this portion of the day because there is so much anticipation and excitement in the room. No, it’s more than that…it means that people admire, respect and trust our work. More still, it means they value what we strive to provide them – memories. We met Becca at a bridal show earlier this year, and from the moment we talked to her and her mom and sister, we fell in love with their excitement and wedding planning mo-jo. Becca was our very first bride to book for 2013, and we simply can’t wait for their big day. Katherine and Jeremy recently got engaged and gave us a shout about wedding photography. Jeremy is quite a photography hobbyist himself, so his questions and discussion about photography got us excited. They are planning a sweet and intimate wedding in a historic village in Monteagle, TN, and it sounds so beautiful. Baby Katherine was 7 days old when we had our newborn session. She was a little early so she was still a tiny little thing. I’ve merged more to doing newborn sessions outdoors when the weather cooperates, and I simply love it. Jamie and her mom brought her new daughter all the way from Labanon just so I could capture some sweet moments for her within her first week of life. And she was a doll baby. There’s so much I could say to introduce Leah and Bo to you. From the history in gymnastics Leah and I have, to her amazing mother whom I adore, to the moment I saw pictures of the beautiful mountaintop engagement posted to Facebook. But the real story here is Leah AND Bo. See, I’ve known Leah and her family for years, but when Bo came into the picture, the puzzle pieces began to line up for her. This spring session of the Brewington siblings was one of my favorite family sessions of the year so far. These kids were so well mannered, up for doing anything I suggested, and absolutely adorable. Not to mention the great locations Mom Sandy found. They also brought along some perfect little props that I loved incorporating. Check out those wooden signs and bench from a barn on their property. We met Megan and her mom a few months ago to chat about her upcoming wedding. We fell in love with her ideas, her wedding venue, and her love for photography.
